One of the most remarkable aspects of contemporary Orthodox theology is its abiding faithfulness to what constitutes the core and central axiom of the Orthodox tradiotion – divine-human communion. Even though Orthodox theologians disagree about many things – and those differences are becoming more manifest – they shere a truly unpreccedented consensus on the principle that Gold has created all of creation for communion whit God and that this communion is a real union whit God’s very life. One would be hard-pressed to find such an explicit consensus on any theological point in either Protestant or Roman Catholic teheologies.
